Samuel G. Katz

Samuel G. Katz is a registered patent attorney and a member of the firm’s Life Sciences Practice Group. Sam concentrates his patent practice in the biomedical engineering and medical device field.

Sam first joined The Belles Group as a summer associate during his second summer of law school in 2019 and then joined the firm directly after graduating in 2020. While in law school, Sam participated in numerous organizations including being the Patent Chair of the Intellectual Property Law Society and Parliamentarian of the Student Bar Association. Sam was also a member of the Philadelphia Diversity Law Group and worked as Summer Associate at GlaxoSmithKline during his first summer of law school in 2018.

Prior to law school, Sam was a research scientist at NYU focusing on novel diagnostic methods in the fields of molecular oncology and tumor virology. In addition to his research, Sam worked as a clinical laboratory scientist at Mount Sinai in New York City.
